    new biocube 29 help!

84°F is a tad on the warm side. I try to keep mine below 83, assuming my thermometer is correct. The ammonia spike is really just the beginning of your cycle. http://www.fbas.co.uk/Nfacts.html

    Moving house

remove everything into buckets with water from the tanks. remove as much water before as possible. the nano shouldn't be a big issue moving it with a little water and some sand so i wouldn't disturb the sand (assuming you have sand). For a short trip you shouldn't need any type of water...

    hydor koralia's

yeah that's the same reason why i would have a hard time fitting even the 1's in my tank.

    hydor koralia's

wish they were a bit smaller then i would replace my 250gph PH. They are kind of big for a 29g tank.

    hydor koralia's

    Here are the sizes. Model Flow Rate Watts Dimensions Koralia 1 400 gph 3.5 2-1/4" x 5" Koralia 2 600 gph 9 2-7/8" x 5-7/8" Koralia 3 850 gph 10 2-7/8" x 5-7/8" Koralia 4 1,200 gph 12 3-1/4" x 6-1/4" 2400gph would definitely be over the 20x (1400gph) that you are...

    new biocube 29 help!

I've never used either but I have heard good results from Purple Up. I have a decent amount of coralline algae so I'm not interested in getting any more. It already sucks scrapping the coralline off of the display pane.

    my tank aqua 65

looks pretty good. the only suggestion that i have would be to find a wire clip that you can attach to the power head cord. this will keep the power head from dropping into the sand if or when the suction cups loose their grip. my suction cups never last long in my tanks. keep up the nice work.

    new biocube 29 help!

I would wait out the cycle. Nothing worse than causing another cycle to start by adding your clean-up crew too early. Plus you run a high risk of killing anything you add to the tank at this time. I wouldn't rely on your LFS to test your water at any time unless they give you the owner's...

12 Gallon Aquapod (first saltwater tank)

The only thing that I would even consider from the list would be the hermit crabs. The snails shouldn't munch on them enough to rip the heads off. Only other explanation would be a hitchhiker that you haven't found yet. They aren't by any chance just closed up are they? A few of them look...

Can you post a list of your inhabitants? Include everything that isn't a coral. That might help narrow it down.

    Salt Mixing for Nano Tank

My house is about 3 years old so I have all PVC plumbing, except the hot water heater. I use the Prime which removes most of the heavy metals. I have posted my water quality report for the county and have checked myself and it seems pretty decent. I have had 3 fresh water and this is my...
