Yup, I've got a 12 gallon and I'd never put an anemone in there. They move around WAY too much. It will end up either sucked down your overflow or chopped up through the bottom of your powerhead. Either situation will ruin your (and your tank's) day. I made the mistake of any anemone in...

In my 12 gal nanocube I run the following: Chamber 1 (under overflow) - two filter sponges. These are rinsed about once a week or when I get around to it. Every once and awhile, I throw a carbon pad on top to 'polish' things off. Chamber 2 - live rubble rock & calurpa. Chanber 3 - 50w...

I use plain old super glue all the time. Shrooms and xenia are a different story. KidNano's got the solution for that above.
