I know I will have to dremel out part of the hood to make it work, but I think it can fit in the middle compartment in the back ... it will not have a very high flow rate, but it doesn't need to. If I have a 10 G sump and it is only 10G/hr flowrate then that is turning the water 24 times a day...

You should have about 24 pounds of live rock in the tank. That will disrupt the current enough for the fish to find a resting spot.

I would also like to know the answer to this. It seems like the rock would act similar to the bioballs.
