need help plzzz noobie here!

i just got my 24 gallon nano about 2 weeks ago placed a couple of fishies in there and i see that the fishies are getting pushed to the back of the fish tank, my friend has the same tank the top of his tank the current doesnt move but mine is pretty strong so i think thats the problem, the thing is i dont kno how to turn it down, help anyone?

You should have about 24 pounds of live rock in the tank. That will disrupt the current enough for the fish to find a resting spot.

I agree. Most of the problems people have with flow is that the tanks don't have enough flow so we upgrade the return pumps. The LR will break up the flow enough so your fish will have no problems. Something else to consider is that the fish may like to play in the flow and get blown around, I have a pair of perculas that play in the flow most of the time. HTH, Skip

I agree with the above posts. I have close to 40X hourly turnover in my 18G and this sounds excessive, but I have enough rockwork so that I have high and low flow areas of my tank. My pair of false perculas will move from low to high flow areas depending on how much they wanna swim. I've seen them sit in front of my AC500 return (extremely high flow) and swim furiously for a whole day. Other times they will laze around in my low flow areas. Definitely get some rock to provide the variety of low to high flow areas.
