    Ok getting back into it

Hello! I've had my 24 nano for a year or so now, it's ever changing so don't exclude corals just yet. Wow...hope it's a teeny tiny trigger, lol. Weekly maintenance has been key to keeping my tank running smoothly...other than that it is really stable and easy IMO. :)

New tank is up and doing well!

Krill is great, try to find some mysis too, they go bonkers for that stuff.

    Placing frags?

It depends how intense your lighting is and how demanding the coral is... Usually, once you pick a spot, you should leave it for a few weeks or only move it laterally to lessen acclimation stress. Up and down forces it to adjust to "different" light intensity. If I see it's safe to, I...

    PC nanocube lighting questions

Actually 72w will suffice. Lots of people keep the stock lighting, user jennybugs does, she's got a really hopping tank. :) How'd you acclimate them? Sometimes it can take days up to weeks for corals to adjust. I drip acclimate all my sensitive critters. I have a coralife digital power...

That's wise. Just watch the fishies, they tend to act differently once they get comfy. :) What do you feed?

    PC nanocube lighting questions

I got my upgrades from nanotuners.com I upgraded the fans, added another 36w bulb and had the moonlights separated from the balast control. All the equipment was around $170ish if I recall right. I had a new LFS offer to install it for $50, took them 3 days, quite sure it should have been a...

    PC nanocube lighting questions

Unless you plan on going fish only, I would keep at least some daylight in there. Although actinic plays a role in some photosynethetic processes, daylight will be the primary contributor. I have a 24 dx as well, I had an upgrade which independently controls 2 sets of bulbs. Ironically, I...

New tank is up and doing well!

Pygmy Angel? Mmmm, that may be a bit much for all the stock you have now. The 6 line and royal gramma alone, are quite territorial. I'd go with a cleaning crew first...

    Newbie Question

Hmm, the bigger you go with any aquaria, the better. As for the Red Sea Max 250, looks like a great tank. If you don't want it, give it to me! :)

sick zoanthids wit white stuff on its head

Sounds like brown hair algae. Actually likes high flow... Physically siphon out and watch water quality. As for spider webs, can be some sort of worm or vermetid snail, relatively harmless. There's something else at work here.

Midnight720 5Gal Tank (It All Bein Now)

Those small gobies are kewl. I have a yellow one. However, can't get'em to eat well. :( Let me know if you find the "trick". I try rotifers, cyclops, and mini mysis... :bash1:
