Yasha Goby/Pistol Shrimp Pair - your thoughts?

So I've been doing a lot of research and I've decided on a Yasha Goby/Randalls Pistol Shrimp combo for my new NC6. The tank is nice and settled so I'm ready to introduce fish after waiting three months. The best deal I've found is at Marinedepotlive.com for about $100. So my questions:

1) Does that combo sound okay for my 6 g Nanocube?
2) Does anyone know anywhere else online that sells this specific pair cheaper?
3) Do you think a small Neon Blue Goby would be okay in the tank as well?

Let me be the first to say dj thats the best decition ever i love the yasha goby pair and you'll probably get away on having a Neon goby in your tank if not look at what fish steven has in his tank more than that or mine alot too.... so i guess 2 fish wont be that bad and remember that little gobies dont make alot of waste... and about prices i know i seen them cheaper some were ill check right now and see if i can find it....

I know that my LFS sells them cheaper, but online, that may be the cheapest you can find them. I would love to add that pair to my 20L, but they are jumpers and i cant have a lid on my tank.

I would say go for it, i have heard many many good things about the pair...very entertaining.

Thx always trying to be helpful.....i knew i sow the pair cheaper somewhere.... im still looking for the other place but dont remember exactly...

but also looking in the page that you mentioned dj and seems that the pair is only $66.....the randall's is onsale for $16 and the yasha is for $50...

Looks like it comes w/ a candycane pistol though, not randall's.

The owner is Tigahboy from nano-reef. If you visit the vendor trader feedback forum at nano-reef.com, there is gobs of good feedback for platinumreefs.

that looks like a great price but seems that is already sold and about the candy can pistol that pistol is know for alot of names....

most common for RANDALL'S PISTOL SHRIMP but also known by candycane pistol or redbanded pistol.....so they are all the same

Not trying to steal this thread but Eddy, if you look at the platinumreefs link at the top is a couple of pics of the Griessingei Goby that we talked about chatting the other day. I see why I couldn't find the one I was looking for now, I was mis-spelling "griessingei".

I have to agree with everyones statements about this being a perfect nano pair, I have been thinking of adding a pair to one of my future nanos as well as maybe trying one of the Griessingei Gobies that I was talking about a minute ago.

ohhh yeah when i was looking at the link i realize that too about our last chat so i was oooohhhhh thats the one skimp wants.. is really neat looking :shock: hope that pair works for you skimp.

Thanks for your input guys. Yeah, I'm excited about finally doing it. The platinumreefs.com combo was a good price but apparently they are sold out. I've actually been calling around to LFS just to see if they can order a pair for me cheaper so I might take that route.
