white mushrooms

I have this white mushroom with the slightest hint of flourescent green at the tips - came in as a hitchiker. Do whites like to be closer to the light source or further away. I would think away since they are not really pigmented, but then again it does have some green so maybe closer to the light source and maybe it will become more green like some of the ones I see at the local store which actual flouresce. Any ideas. Thanks

I think it is probably a green shroom that has bleached from stress or lack of light. What kind of light are you running and what size is your tank? I would probably leave it in an area of lower light, then slowly move it to an area of higher light... it may color up eventually.

Do you have any pics?

I agree that it sounds like a stressed green mushroom to me as well. Try Jesses idea and see if it will color back up. Good luck.

thanks will give it a try.

.75 aqua vase but the other mushrooms are doing great except well almost all - what I told was two loose ricordias won't attach to rock. (Actually I don't think they are - while they have bumps around the edges there are no bumps closer to their mouth.) One started self destructing to slime yesterday and I quickly pulled him out and just have him in some salt water which I will keep in the sunlight and change water daily to see if he regroups. Any comments on ricordia
