Ok y'all...I am SERIOUSLY (if not deffenitly) thinking about turning my NEW 5gall into a like nano reef (kinda like mikes pico reef..that really inspired me) the only bump is mom and dad...LOL well anyways..I was starting to look at lightin and I like this one

but someone said that 18watt isnt good enough for a nano reef on a 5gall? thats almost 4 watts to the gallon...and then someone sugested this? then someone suggested this ???????????? http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/P ... 004+113345 thats only 13 watts...but my prob. is would it fit my oddly shapped tank? (the first one that is..thats the one I REALLY like!)

Unfortunately I don't think there is an easy anser to this problem. Either you will have to gut the existing hood and retro fit some lights in there or make a pendant to hang over the tank. Watts per gallon on a nanot isn't a good way to measure light I've noticed. JohnandDawn is the person to ask about lighting. Hopefully they will chime in.

very small tanks are hard to get light on with out DIY. this has 36W total and would handle most shrooms and zoas and maybe even a candy cane.

with the mini aqualight you MAY be able to maintain low light corals, but it is not ideal, and those galaxy lights are basically junk
