This is a 3 Gal. Finnex that has been on my desk for 2 1/2 years now.
I initially purchased about 15 lbs. of Kaelini from premiumaquatics.com and kept pretty much all of it for the tank. I do one 50% water change a month and top off about every three days as it's an open top and evaporates quickly.
My question is about the latest green algae and brown disk-like things growing like over hanging cliffs that's been growing. I do have some bubble aglae as well. I've attached a few photos of the actual algae surprise guests. They weren't there or visible when I got the rock but have since sprouted over the last two years.
Anyone have an ID on them? Should I remove or leave them? Should I just keep them under control and allow them to remain?
Any input is appreicated.
