WHAT IS DARK GREEN ALGAE?

I need to id a dark green filamentous algae that produces silvery grey bubbles. I have been removing it with a turkey baster but it keeps coming back, but not as bad as in the beginning. Is it toxic and somthing to worry about, or just continue to remove it as I have been doing? It certainly looks sinister and foreboding.

My tank is one week into cyclying. I used ls and lr and seasoned water from a lfs.

Not really, fortunatly that is pretty much the easiest algae to remove... just use some tweezers and pull it right off. Its actually pretty cool stuff when its not in your tank

BUBBLE ALGAE

Thanks for the reply! A turkey baster seems to work pretty well. It is a relief to know that it is nothing to worry about.

This forum is great for a newbie! Everyone is quick to jump in and help whenever someone has a question and do we have the questions..

Make sure you don't bust the bubbles. I heard they have spores in them that can multiply if popped. Again that what I heard but I popped mine and no bubbles...
