I went ahead and got a candy blue aqua vase. As of yesterday I took out the filter media pads and just added ls and lr. Some of my baby turbos for the time being( the size of an eraser head) and one red leg hermit. I figure I should wait a few days in case of any die of of bacteria in the water. The water came from my other tank. Planning on adding a shroom or two and my poor little ricordia that isn't doing so well in the other tank(planned on feeding the guy so he will perk up). I would like to turn the filter into a refuge with some cheato not calerpa!!! I hate that stuff! And mod a hood to fit on top to limit evap. any help would be appreciated. Dont flame as this is first time on pico guys.

just a fill in, got to get the cam working again....hopefully by tomorrow. I just have an ugly brown shroom and some mint zoo frag along with a green ric. My snails kick butt though. keeping it real clean.

Well, no phone as of june. sorry  but I have been keeping some more shrooms I got for a steal and some kally algae for color. want to shorten the light but after trying what the others have did, I totally destroyed it. had to get a new light. i cant believe these things are sooo stable. As for the filter I added some macro and LR rubble and it seems to keep everything in check. But one question. How do you guys get the coralline off the acryllic? I tried scraping and it seems to scratch the plastic. what should I do.
