Used cracked 24g nano cube, can I fix?

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to stop by. So I received a used 24 jbj nano, it has problems! lol. The crack is located in the middle back of the tank, running from the top to assuming the bottom. It is still sealed by the tape used to cover the back filter area. It seems that the leak stops if the tank is half way full. Is this repairable? Take a look at the pictures I attached for a better understanding.

Also, having a problem with the cp lighting. When i turn on the switch both lights flicker on and turn off. The only switch that I see on this unit is located on the power brick. There is not a switch on the top of the tank.

The tank came with 2" of sand that I have taken out, and rocks. Not sure what I should do with them. I wouldn't want to spread any diseases to this tank or a new one if needed.

Try using photobucket and pasting in the IMG codes for photo posting. I don't recommend trying to use that tank as it is more than likely going to blow out. Maybe a glass shop in your area and cut you a replacement piece, but it's probably cheaper to find a used 24 tank without the hood. But then again it sounds like the wiring in your hood could use some help.

Yeah I would start from scratch. Sounds like that tank is going to be a headache. Your pics probably didn't upload because they're too big. Most people just use photobucket as Tim Mentioned.

Yeah, I thought I had compressed them enough in PS, but photobucket seems to be really nice. Thanks for the tip. I was thinking that the glass behind the filter wouldn't be under much pressure.

I'll take your guys advice on this one for sure then. I've put the tank aside until I feel like wasting time trying to rebuild it. In the mean time I have started a 10 gallon yesterday. Bought 10lbs of nature's ocean and a piece of live rock from store and added it to my live rock that has been sitting around. I'll start I a new topic for that.
