Hey Reefers,

I'm excited to share with you updated pics of my SPS tank. They are 3 months in the making and I'm still going strong.

I have had no deaths so far, other than some STN on my largest Acro, which I believe came in not that healthy.

Here also is my debut on my Larnie Edition that I purchased from Chris 1 month ago. The theme of this tank is LPS, since I love them too. I'm happy to share with you these pics.

Enjoy and feel free to comment.

Very nice tank!

I was just curious how many gallons that is and how many watts of lighting you're squeezing in there. I'd love to be able to keep SPS in my tank, but i'm not sure i have enough lighting.

mike, it's times like these, where you could really use a signature. That way you can include the details of your tank, so all the newbies know, and dont ask you all the time. Just a thought :)

I'm running 115 watts total under the hood. 102 is dedicated to the main tank and the other 13 watts are for the refugium.

Unfortunately heat is a problem in my tank. It's not just the lights it's the extra pumps.

I'm waiting for nanocustoms to design a chiller for these tanks or maybe JBJ but so far nothing, so I have the hood open on hot days, this keeps the temps where they belong.

Still using the 'ice in a ziplock' technique Mike? I think you said your wife used to do it for you if you were at work...that is awesome.

Hey DJ,

Actually you made me laugh that you remember that my wife does the ziplock technique. She did that for me today, again, becuase my temps were 84.9 when she got home from work.

She said, you are lucky I came home early and since she always feeds my fish she saw the temps high and lowered them in both tanks.
