For all that have asked what's inside the hood, I thought I'd take a picture of the engine; I run four 24 watt PC and one 13 watt fuge PC. Two of the bulbs are 50/50 JBJ lights while the other two are Realux true actinics... The fuge is 6,500 K daylight...

very nice
how does the clam react to the frogspawn? I've always wondered about that because I don't imagine the coral perceives a clam as a threat and therefor probably doesn't send out sweepers??? Is this correct. My clams are on a bommie all by themselves but I have SPS's all the way around the perimeter cuz I was worried if I put anything else there they may overgrow and sting the clams?

Good question johnanddawn. I suppose it also may depend on which way the flow is directed. The sweepers may just go in the opposited direction. The FS is getting really big. How many heads does it have now Mike?

Hi Sugar,

My frogspawn only has one head and John is right again about the clam... Since owning two clams for almost 1 year, I have noticed that they do not give out any type of chemical that says fight.

I say this because the frog spawn always touches it fully and they are like best friends. In the beginning I was really scared and thought it would damage the mantle and was relived to see it doesn't.

The clams mantle has touched a lot of other corals like my torch coral and same results, positive, no sweepers.

However, I had to move my hammer coral in the back because the torch did sting it with a sweeper.
