this is a picture of my on going reef project its a 75 gallon with a custon AGA replica style stand build 100% by me i also have a ghood made but pics of tha will come this friday :) CA reactor will be build by me 20"beckett skimmer will be built by me, and lighting retrofited buy me

lighting will consist of 350 watts of halide which is 2x175 watt 20K bulbs.

Nice. You're going to give phischys dad's woodworking skills a challenge.
I assume you're making the canopy as well?

Bravo. I need to find some plans for a diy recirculating skimmer. If I had a digital camera i'd take some pics of the stuff i'm finishing.

-All oak stand. Overbuilt with 2 by 4's. All trim, fluting etc is oak.
-Oak hood for 175w 20k halide
-Overflow, intakes and closed loops drilled by me. (need some real glass bits)

One thing I won't be diy is the 100g tank that the stand is designed to house :)

A hood is being built well it wi built just needs stainin, pics of that will come this weekend

balasts are here and so are the reflectors.

well the hood is finished
except for stain the doors are also cut its being prepped once again for stain.

I love the black backgrounds. I painted the back of my old minibow black. It really made the colors of the corals pop.
