I just got this little guy up and running today. I plan on making a hood for it for 2 20 watt compact fluorescent lights so it will be bright enough to grow just about anything in it.



Let me know what you guys think.

I looks like the one in the middle left is the skeleton of a bubble coral? Hard to be sure but that's what it looks like to me.

I gotta warn you though... 2x20 watt screw-in fluorescent lamps are not enough for many corals. I would consider that low-light. The light is not easily reflected and thus alot of the light is lost. You would probably be better off trying to retro in some power compact lights.

Ok cool, yeah I was looking for some power compacts that where around 18-24 watt and haven't found any yet. It has a 13 watt power compact on it right now that came in the lid.

I purchased a frag of green star polyps the other day. Not sure yet exactly where I want it growing. I've heard you can have it grow on the back glass and it will add a very nice looking background...hmmm

Cool, looks like a nice, healthy system.

What is your water change schedule, those feather dusters will be using a fair bit of your calc, you might need to suplement if you are not already.

Love those zoas on the right of shot, hope they go nuts for you.
