Well my wife gave in once i told her you couldnt fit "Nemo" in a 12 gal. So i ordered the Aquapod 24 gal w/ 150 w HQI Sunpod. The deal was to good to pass up. Anyway, i have read about mods for this system that some believe are alsmost required to get premium resluts. What do i need to get ( other than a heater) before it gets here in order to have a good experience. Things like skimmers, wavemaker, pumps, anything i should know to start things off. Also an order of the process in which things should be done would help tremendously. I know yall are getting tired of me posting already, but at least the tank is in the mail now. Thanks for everything, yall have helped more than you know. As you can see it will only be more questions coming from me now.

Not sure about your particular tank but I think the most popular modifications to the cubes are a bigger/better pump and small mods to the intake area to allow for better flow. And of course not using the filter media or bio-balls that come with the setup. You will probably need to add an additional power head as well.

What pump would be best. Power head recommendations and how exactly would I upgrade the intake?
A lot of people are just adding the Koralia Power heads. They seam to work pretty well.

Im assuming that you researched this mod and decided that it was applicable to your tanks needs, so what pumps did you read being mentioned for use in this mod?

Premium aquatics called and the tank is on two week backorder so I guess I can get things together. I have a 5 gal already that will be used for water changes and salt water emergency supply. I am ordering the maxjet 1200 the Koralia powerhead and I am going to build my own stand this weekend (I am a contractor). I think I may order this combo deal on foster and smith with a syphin algae magnet change reminder and a couple other things. I think this should all go well with what I plan on putting in the tank. Thanks again guys.

Sounds good. Collecting all the goods is almost as much fun as setting up and keeping the tank.....until the credit card statements start coming in...lol
