surgical latex gloves

are surgical gloves safe to use when working in a stocked tank? im hoping the gloves dont give off anything into the water..

dont they have some kind of powder on them to keep from cracking/getting hard?

in freshwater people use those gloves that come with hair dye...
the super thin ones that are like sandwich bags for your hands... :roll:

Using surgical gloves would be expensive and overkill. Plain medical gloves would be fine but you really don't want the powdered kind. My recommendation would be to use either nitrile or vinyl gloves because they are more durable than latex.
