i have a 24g aquapod and was worndering how i can get the surface of the water cleaner. i do water changes and everything but the surface always have debris on, right now i am running the sponges that i clean every week when i do water changes. I have also been thinking of up-grading the stock and seeing if pulling more water through the sponges will help. I am also running a rio 180ph inside the tank as well. i had the same problem with my old 12 nano. i hate this, when i remove all of the sponges in the back and just run LR will this help my problem.

You've got to block off the openings that are below the surface. this will cause the overflow to pull all of the water from the surface and keep the surface crystal clear. If you upgrade the pump I wouldnt suggest any other pump except the Maxijet 1200.

Do you have a surface skimmer??? I have a 12 gallon JbJ nano and bought one as an after market add on because of this same problem. Not sure if will work for an aquapod but i'm sure you can make something like it. Check out the nanocube website to see what I'm talking about.

yes i do have a skimmer and i have solve the problem so far, ph to move the water around more and lowered the water level some. now i jus need to work on the back chamber and replace the stock pump.
