Something for the office

Hi Guys,

I want to setup a real (a gallon or smaller) tank for my office I was thinking of using a jumbo gold fish bowl (no light I have a window near my desk, a just a small filter I am don't think I will get a heater either). What would be something that is real hardy (no coral) that would be neat to have in my office. I was thinking of a crab or a shrimp. Any ideas? :eusthink

Thanks,

Eric

My only thing i have to ask is what kind of filtration did you plan to have with a large goldfish bowl.

I would suggest looking into a 5.5 gallon tank instead.

and there is a same king but only one gallon and well i think you will be able to keep a shrooms or brown zoos on it & any invertabrate like sexy shrimp, anemone shrimp or anemone crab or pistol shrimp.
Thanks Ed,

That looks like a cool tank, I am still not sure if I want to keep any coral at work. I was thinking of a real neat shrimp or a crab for the office.

thanks,

Like they said a mini nano tank with only SEXY SHRIMPS sounds like a cute and beautiful idea

arrow crabs - ugly but an interesting ugly :)
sally lightfoot - always cool
blood shrimp - very pretty
pom pom crab or better yet decorater could be interesting
mantis shrimp - can get big but a thought anyway
if you want to feed heavy and change a lot of water maybe a cuke like a sea apple or yellow or possibly a feather duster worm
serpent stars - get big but are hardy and easy to feed
or could do a nonphotosynthetic coral like a sun or orange gorg but again feed heavy and change a lot of water ( half once a week) risky and troublesome - but could be cool
any starfish but be prepared to feed frozen mussles
wait sorry, the list of inverts is endless, just check this out instead of listening to me ramble....... here is a list of possibilities:

You will need a heater regardless of the organism or it will premature the death of your critter....

Heaters are dirt cheap and you can get away with hiding it in such a small enclosure....

I will pick a cheep one up for the tank. Is 25 watts too much?

I have that Azoo tank. I really like it, except the tank lacks clarity. I have it as a planted nano tank and as with any open tank, be prepared to top it off often.
