I don't know if your RSA safari is set in stone, and I'm sure it will be great if you have never visited Africa before. But you might want to consider Namibia, the Kakaoveld up north towards the Angola border. I don't know if they do safaris there yet, but I visited there about 15 years ago to inspect some mine exploration properties and it knocked my socks off, and I'm an old Africa hand who has been living in and visiting the continent on and off for decades. Not a game park, just a bit of Africa with elephants, giraffes, zebras, buck, lions, and leopards wandering around as if they owned the place, which they really do. Local people living largely in their old ways. It was like the Garden of Eden, or Africa as it was when I first went there 45 years ago.jay said:Next stop, South Africa to go on safari and live with with tribes people for a few days (I'll be sure to stay with a tribe that let's me keep all my flesh).

I looked into those one time and considered setting up a tank. But after reading about them I couldnt imagine having a reef tank AND a poison dart setup.johnnymo said:i keep poison dart frogs, which is sometimes called the land version of reef tanks.I encourage you guys to build a vivarium and get some frogs. You'd love it =]

I have e few plumeria plants that I have fallen in love with... does that count? :inlove:djconn said:Recently I've really gotten into my veggie garden. We have great growing weather here in Oregon and my veggies are really starting to take off. It feels a little like playing with my tank when I'm out there figuring out how exactly it's all going to fit in a small space.
Anyone else into gardening?
When I had my single family home I had a little garden with tomatoes, jalapenos, Basil, zucchini, and wild berries (don't ask...). But now I am in a town house with no yard to garden in. I think I did pretty well as my tomato plants were going crazy with tomatoes, even had enough to can some.djconn said:Recently I've really gotten into my veggie garden.
