Now that I got your attention, maybe you can help identify this oddity on my powerhead. ;)

Little background information on the tank: It's a 29 gallon biocube, I've had it up and running for about 6 months now. Water chemistry, salinity, ect is all perfect.

About 2 weeks ago I noticed this pink "bush" looking thing sprouting up on the top of my powerhead. It's about an inch tall now and an inch wide. I'm not sure if it's a plant or macroalgae, or if it's even a "good" thing to have in the tank. Pic 2 is from a different angle, you can clearly see that other smaller versions are beginning to sprout on the other side of the powerhead.

Thoughts? Here's some pics:

sorry for the poor picture quality.

I can say that the stalks on it do have thickness to them, they are not 'thin' or 'leaflike'

at the tip of each stalk are two small "bulbs", with a tiny red dot at the tip of each bulb.

that's about the best i can describe it. if its a macroalgae, will the coral beauty I have pick at it?
