Nice tank. Like the rockwork. Just curious, do you know what kind of rock it is? Some of it almost looks like driftwood!

I checked you other posts and couldnt figure out how long it has been set up. So?

You'll like the clown, they are fun.

Looking forward to seeing your tank grow. enjoy!

Thanks everybody. Im not to sure what type of rock it is. I have had the tank set up for a little over a month. Im going to be adding some coral within a week or 2. I will post more pics when I get some coral.

I really like the hammer coral and frog spawn. A friend of mine is going to frag some for me this weekend but I cant remember what kind he said they were. So hopefully Ill have some on monday.

very sweet aquacaping. Two things I can recommend.

1.) you can point your nozzle up and you'll get better water flow believe it or not.
2.) Get a surface skimmer for your tank, it'll just clip on to the intake and start skimming the water surface so it doesn't get gunky and dirty...

How exactly do those work? That's the main reason I signed up here. They look like a tiny overflow box but that obviously isn't what they are.

Here is a thread with a pic of one at work. (GO ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM OF THE THREAD)

http://www.nanotank.com/forum/viewtopic ... be+skimmer

It simply creates a mini version of the larger overflow filters which takes the surface water and pumps it into the filter. The water at the surface falls into the skimmer and is the pumped into the filter allowing for much better filtration of the surface proteins that collect on the surface. This allows for better oxygenation of the water and better water quality.
