Here's my 2.5 gallon. It's been up and running for about 8 months now. I have the same canopy and base as djconn with 2x13 watt pc's. Running an AC mini and a compact 25 watt heater. 3/4" sand bed, approx 5 pounds of LR. Inhabs include 4 sexy shrimp, 1 blue leg hermit, 1 micro hermit, 2 nass snails, 1 stomatella snail, 1 algae cowrie, microstars and bristleworms. GSP, briareum, gorgonian, three yuma rics, 1 blue green ric, one blush ric, zoos, anthelia (that is finally growing up the back glass - woo!) about 15 tulip anemones, colonial fan worms, encrusting sponges...lessee, I think that's it.

Everything looks great! I love all the shrooms & ricordia in your tank. :whoohoo:

How'd you get the anthellia to grow on the back of the glass? Glue them on?

thanks. Yep...that's me over at CF too.

dj, I just propped the clump of anthelia in the wedge of that tonga branch and rested it up against the back glass and waited. The stuff grows like a weed so I knew it would eventually take hold. Now if only the GSP would take note and stop growing in and upon itself and do what the anthelia did I'd be all set. Guess I'll just have to rip off part of the mat and glue it to the glass. (that does work great btw. ;))

I just got done redoing the entire tank. As soon as I get the last of the frags glued down I'll post up some more pictures.

Okay gang, here's the newly rearranged 2.5. I had some issues with high alk just after the rescaping, but took care of it with twice weekly water changes for a couple weeks.

Still needs a bit of tweaking, but it's looking pretty good so far.

Wow. Looks like a completely different tank. Did you change the lighting?

Your shrooms on the left sure look happy!

nope, the lighting is still 2x13 watt PC's. I did some more rearranging last night. I just can't seem to get it where I like it.

hehe, more rearranging today. I put a few more zoo frags in there and some more briareum. If everything is open tomorrow I'll get some more pics up.

I am setting up basically the same tank, can you clue me in on heat issues? How do you keep temp stable?

Thanks

Wow...my tank sure has changed! I've been seriously negelcting it. :(

I have a built in fan in the canopy, so no heat issues at all. The temp stays a constant 80 degrees.
