That shrimp is simply REEKING of feminine beauty.

Sorry, I saw Shrek 2 this weekend, and it brought up funny memories...

ahem  ....the explanation I heard is cause their tail is always wagging...and it's kinda up in the air, compared to other shimp...

Yep, they walk around with their tails up in the air looking all sexy and stuff...

I have noticed that my pair seem to be more active than the single one I have in my 2.5. I need to get him a 'sexy' partner to play with.

Here's the best pic I've managed to get of any of the sexy shrimp I have or have had. I got a couple cool shots of the new baby rose BTA. I got it nearly a month ago from a friend that had his split. It's looked like hell ever since I got it and just in the last couple days started looking healthy. Looks like it might make it after all. :D

question on sexy shrimp

are they friendly and easy to take care of? Only fish I have is a percula clown fish. No problems?

Yep, friendly and I don't feed mine anything. I think you'd be fine with a clown. They might both actually both host the same anemone which could be cool.

sexy shrimp do best when kept in groups of three or more. you may want to consider picking up a couple more.
I read the same info you've evidently got SM. I've put nearly 9 sexy shrimp in my main tank trying to maintain that 2-3 number, and I always end up with a lone single shrimp. I think the one I've got is some kinda homicidal maniac sexy shrimp. It's gotten to the point that when I come through the door at the two stores I've gotten SS from, the first thing they say is "We have sexy shrimp.", or "We don't have any sexy shrimp."

Both my wife and I have one each in our nanos as well. Maybe I'll try putting another one in each of those tanks. :D

Yeah, I've got two in my 5.5 and one in my 2.5. The two in my 5.5 do sometimes hang out together but I will admit, they are apart alot as well. Maybe its not meant to be for that couple

Wow, that's really strange incysor. I've had three of my original four for almost two years now. One died a few months ago and I replaced it wth another. What else do you have in the tank with the sexy's?

dragon, in the wild sexy shrimp live in colonies and are mainly found living in anemones. my four call the 2.5 gallon tank home and seem to like the yuma ric I have in there.

interesting...

I had my chance to buy two at least, as I saw two in a floating container at the LFS. Sadly I seperated the couple, my sexy shrimp is the lone ranger of it's kind moving around, and exploring in my tank. I'll have to see what happens with the little guy...
