SEASPACE 2004
June 5 & 6, 2004
Houston, Texas
Reliant Center
Is anyone going to this? It sounds really cool. I happened to see an ad for it on TV last night so I checked out the website http://seaspace.org/ Lots of cool stuff going on. Seminars, workshops, IMAX Coral Reef Adventure, etc. Looks like it focuses mainly on diving but there is a bunch of other things too. Underwater photography and macro photography (which would apply to us) seminars both days. Admission is $6 for adults I think.
From their website:
The Houston Underwater Club invites you to explore the world of exotic travel, adventure sports, and scuba diving, as the SEASPACE Exposition brings a world of fun, education and entertainment to the Reliant Center in Houston, Texas. Scheduled June 5 & 6, SEASPACE draws exhibitors, speakers and attendees from exotic destinations around the world. This year's highlights include a huge and diverse Exhibit hall hosted by a living mermaid; a Gallery of Underwater Photography presented by the Los Angeles Underwater Photo Society; and the exciting new IMAX film "Coral Reef Adventure."
SEASPACE is the Southwest USA’s premiere Adventure Exposition. With events for the entire family, you are invited to explore more than 200 booths with experts on various outdoor sports and exotic travel destinations. In its new expanded location at Reliant Center, SEASPACE 2004 adds to the fun with a big climbing wall and the addition of outdoor sports like kayaking, sailing and surfing. A huge swimming pool built into the Exhibit Hall enables visitors who come equipped with a swimsuit and towel to try out scuba diving, snorkeling, and a variety of paddle sports.
