What color is it? All of my green/blue ones seemed to like shadier areas of the tank, where the pink/orange ones liked the bright areas.

Yeah, I have both of mine on the bottom with 64 watts of PC in my 5.5. They have done fine.

Just keep an eye on it. The darker ones (blue & green) tend to like more shade, while the lighter ones prefer more direct light. If it starts to look bad, try moving it. Just my .02

I only do well with the orange florida ricordia and the green yuma. All other yumas melted in my tank in under two weeks. :(

Some rics just 'melt' for no apparent reason. I, unfortunately, have had many of mine do that. All my other rics did fine but just a few would wither away...

Only the Yumas died and it wasn't because of light. My ric and other mushrooms were really happy.

I listened to my LFS and purchased two really rare pink yumas, spent about $140 then they died in two weeks.

My florida ric just kept blooming and is gorgeous in color; so I recommend florida rics.

I really believe they are temp sensistive and my tank at the time was a 12 gallon cube that had a lot of fluctuate temps. 74 degrees to 84 in a given day; needless to say, as sensitive as those yumas are they were a gooner.

I wish I would've posted about them before I purchased....
