Not much on updates. Still waiting for better lighting. Unfortunatly my supplier had a brain tumor and is still recovering... Still looking for some fish such as blennies, gobies, firefish, copperband, and flame angel.

WAhhooooo i got my long awaited fish .... a copperband butterfly and I am picking up 2 250 watt MH, with single ended bulbs and ice cap ballasts for 300. Just the deal iv been waiting for. Oh well enough blabber more pictures. Oh ya i unexpectidly bought a fox face tang :|..
and what kind of coral is this?

wahooo i got Halidess .... 2 x 250 watt on ice cap ballasts, Single ended 20K XM bulbs. All for a Wonderful price of $300. Ill eventully upgrade to double ended pendants but this is going to be great for now i cant wait to get them on the tank and i couldnt wait to share the news. Im to Excited i can finally get some coralsssss.

Ok well i have started construction on my hood. I like it so far ... i made a contraption thats holding my new MH's over the tank for now as i finish the hood. As well as i am finishing up on my cabinet that will be beside the tank holding hopefully all my power bars and plugs.

Small update. Got my canopy almost done. After much contemplation, my canopy is going to sit on my tank instead of being a pendant hanging over the tank. so heres what i got done

Thanks you guys. It was supposed to hang and have no doors or anything but i did not want to put holes in the ceiling or wall. So doors it was. I mean it was tricky to get everything where it should but i think its going to pay off big time . Mike your tank is Beautiful, i hope you know that its an inspiration to me. I sit and i ponder.. what would Mike G do. lol. Anyways heres what i got. theres not reason to explain.
Roughly about 300 polyps on this rock... oh and it was the smaller of the 2. Roughly 8"x6"x6'

Ok well heres some canopy updates.
Still needs a couple more coats plus some urathane to protect the wood. I also picked up a small 4" fan for air circulation in the hood. Might need 2.
Ok Heres where i need to get some opinions. Im going to Up my skimmer as this one just isnt cutting it. I have the option of buying a NIB ASM G4X, I like this idea because of the pump it uses (sedra 9000) yet i dont like how its not external as my sump isnt big enough for that skimmer.
What do you guys think. I was thinking maybe to make a small acrylic tank for the skimmer to sit in, in the cabinet, then Tee off my overflow and bring it to the skimmer tank in the stand and then do the gate valve mod back into my sump. WOuld it work or would i come home to a mess on the floor? Im going to try and do some CAD drawings of what im talking about.

Just putting up an updated FTS. As well as i would like to get some info on what you guys think of the new Bubble King Minis... im very interested in these skimmers.

I have not mentioned yet but im very very very interested in the new bubble king mini's, compared to everything else in the price range and the fact that its a Bubble King. I think i might just be upgrading to one soon. :twisted:
As wells as im getting more interested in picking up a calcium reactor. I know that i can use search buttons on these sites and such but the fact is i can understand better about something if its directly to me.
I plan on keeping LPS and maybe a couple clams. I cant say im into the whole SPS thing as of yet.
So im just looking for more info from you guys who have knowledge with calcium reactors as i keep looking around other sites for info... any points in the right direction would be great :lol:
