Red Slime Algae

My tank has some red slime algae that started growing on the sand and now I notice it on my rocks and near my coral.
Whenever I move my sand around it grows back quickly.
What do I do? :anxious

Chemiclean will work great...temporarly. It will buy you time while you take corrective action to save your corals. This is a long battle so hunker down and keep at it and eventuall;y your over come it. All the advice in that link is pretty solid.

I am using live sand and I set up my fish tank mid. December last year.
My tank is a coral reef tank and I'm still unsure of what to do.
Any other advice?

Okay now I am scratching my head...

What is the concern of Live Sand and what that article suggest? I mean if you do all of the stuff outlined in the bottom of that article except nuke your tank with antibiotics...there shouldnt be a concern, nd algae should pretty much be a noin issue in your tank as well as Slime Algae.
