Hi Guys,

Not a Nano question but you guys have a lot of knowledge so I want to ask you.

I am going to be upgrading my FOWLR tank to a 60 tall, 90 or maybe a 72 bowfront. (Depends on how much my wife lets me spend)

I want to add a few butterflyfish. I will moving all my fish from my current tank Yellow Tank (just a baby right now), Maroon Clown (I am getting rid of my Six Line Wrasse).

Can you have more then one Butterflyfish? Can you have more then one of the same kind? Can you have different kinds?

I was thinking of; Raccoon Butterflyfish, Copperband Butterflyfish, Auriga Butterflyfish, Mertensii Butterflyfish

Would any of those go together?

Thanks,
Eric

Before setting your heart on all of these butterflies check out their diets and how hardy they are. I know copperbands can be hard to get to eat and are not the hardiest fish. There are also other butterflies that only like to eat coral polyps so feeding them may not be all that easy. I don't know for sure about compatibility with same or different species so I won't even try to comment on that.

My wife does not want me to blow all that money on a new tank

She wants to go to Mexico with my bonus check  O well at least it is hot and I am going to sign up for a scuba lesson.

I did have a Orange Butterflyfish when I first had my tank but I had to bring him back because he did not eat fast enough, all the other fish eat his food.

Thanks,

Eric

Thanks guys, I will bring her diving with me and will see what happens:mrgreen:

It is going down to -37 here tonight so Mexico in two weeks is sounding like a good idea now. I think I can handle a few beers on the beach :beer2:
