My water parameters keep on changing and I have no idea why.
They are currently ph 8.0 nitrite .25 nitrate 40 ammonia 4.

What can I do to make this better?

Also tank was setup 7-12 and its now 7-15 so this may just be the problem.
I've never set-up a nano so i don't know.

Also what are the ideal parameters?
What are the minimum parameters that you could scrape by with while having a reef?

And just for reference what are your parameters?
Thanks

Dont do water changes in an attempt to correct those parameters. It is natural for a new tank to go through a "cycle" and it will balance out on it's own. Keep testing every few days and in about 3-4 weeks it should be where it needs to be.

Thanks.
That is really helpful.
Why shouldn't I do water changes yet?
Does it screw up the cycle or something.
I have also purchase a whole bunch of supplements.
Some reduce nitrates/ammonia etc.
Should I use these?

Also what is the ideal tank parameters?

i would avoid using any chemicals in general.
the ideal parameters are all zero nitrates, nitrites, and ammonia..
itll balance out after around a month or so..
