Protein Skimmer...

We have a Coralife Super Skimmer (Needle Wheel), but I seem to keep getting unusually large amounts of small bubbles floating around in the tank. Is there a MOD that someone can suggest that will reduce the bubble output from our Coralife Super Skimmer? The bubble reducer it came with really works all that well.

I too think a sponge in the bubble trap would help.

A sponge is already in the bubble trap.... Since my last post, I've stopped the Protein Skimmer.
I went to my LFS and talked to them about the problem. Turns out that the water conditioner I picked up has a little something in it called, ALEO VERA (ladies you know what this stuff is - some kind of moisturizer) which can cause this bubble problem when using a P. Skimmer. We picked up a new water conditioner. We'll do our regular water changes with it for a few weeks and then start up the P. Skimmer again.

Hopefully that will solve the problem.

Aloe is good for guys too. If your dehydrated and lost in the desert you can get water from it. put it on your skin to protect you from sun burn and all kinds of things. I've even used it for hair gel. I think if you drink it's juice it will even act as an appetite suppressant. That is one amazing plant my friend. Too bad it bubbles though. I guess the one bad place for it is in a protein skimmer.
