Hi Guys,

Has anyone used Kent Marine PhytoMax? Is it too powerful for a Nano tank?

I think that some folks here use it and with good results . Just be careful with it as it is easy to over do it in tanks our size ......... I am not sure on the dosing but it is potent and can very easily be over dosed maybe 1/2 of what is recommended and at 1- 2 times a week dosed sorry I couldn't be of more help :mrgreen:

I use it and it is extremely concentrated, one or two drops is all you need. It comes with an eye dropper in the top for dosing. It is a little safer to use the phytoplex if you are not sure about the dosing since this isn't as concentrated.

you could always dilute it in a small container with some tank water and then ues maybe 1/4 of it every day.

Seems a bit potent huh? Why not just use live phyto like DT's?

I have PhytoMax and ZooMax from kent marine.

I alternate between each every week. But I up the dosage, using like 4 to 5 drops in a 8 oz cup of ro/do water.

I then pour that into my 72 gallon and that's it. The stuff really work well and I feed during the night when the fish are sleeping and the night feeders are feeding.

Hi Guys, thanks for the replys.

I was just going to use one drop of Zoomax and one drop of PhytoMax in a cup of water once a week for my 2.5 Nano tank with 6-8 corals a Porcelain Crab and maybe a feather duster. Is this too much or not enough? I want to make it real easy becuase I am bring the tank to my office one it is done.

Also should I take some of the cleaning crew out I have not fish in the tank any more.

I have 3 snails and 3 hermits. Is this too much for a 2.5G?

You cannot mix the two, you need to dose on two separate days....

That sucks I guess that is why they don't sell it all in one bottle, How about this???

Two drops a week.

One day one drop of Zoomax and the other day one drop PhytoMax. Too much? Not enough?
