The biggest problem I see with a 5 1/2 gallon tank is that they are 16" long and there are almost no options on lighting. Both of the fixtures alrerady mentioned are designed for a 12" tank, their legs will not fir a 16" tank. I have seen a PC fixture that was made for a 16" tank at a LFS recently but I can't remember who the manufacturer was. I think it was either a 24 watt or 28 watt PC.

Good point SKip. I do believe that JBJ makes a 17" fixture. Let me see if I can find a link for you. That would be perfect.

What your planning on doing though now isnt a bad option either. I kept zoos, rics, gsp, and a couple other things under a 13watt PC for like 6 months and didnt have a problem. Just gotta really pay attention to your water quality.

Let me dig up that link.

That Finnex fixture that Rip linked should be a nice fit. I recall reading a thread someplace where someone stripped that same fixture out and retroed a 70 watt MH into it, it was a factory looking job.
