this morning when my lights came on i noticed a slug crawling up the glass. it made it to the substrate and thats when i noticed the coloring velvet purple body with a pink diamond shape on the head. at least i think its the head cause thats the way it was heading. its about an 1/8 inch long. about an hour ago i noticed another one, two in total that i have seen at once. has anybody had any babies of either one of these? i have more babies of different stuff in my tank than anyhting else.....i have a ten gallon nursery....lol

nudibranch means "naked gill" if you see gills on the back then it, is if not then its probably a "slug"

Nudibranches are so pretty, and they come in a zillion colors. Very striking. Unfortunately, they don't survive well in captivity, according to the sources I have read. They just don't get the type/amount of food they need.

Here's a neat web site put together by a diver who loves Nudibranches:

http://www.divegallery.com/

It's well worth perusing, because in addition to tons of info and stunning pics of Nudibranches, he also has posts galleries of photos from his dives ... really gorgeous photos of the fish and inverts we love so much.
