NOT nano, 200 gallon SW with stand

A friend moved to Colorado, and I bought her 200 gal & stand for $500, and now I'm thinking I travel too much to do anything with this tank. Its got a HUGE commercially made sump, and a HUGE skimmer (brand new never used, can find out brand if you want). Its 7ft long by 2 feet wide.

Anybody interested? Its in good condition, but needs to be cleaned up. All I have done is drained it. I'd like to sell it for $500, she had wanted $1000 for it but got put in a crunch, or best offer.

I'm located in Ft. Myers, FL, and its going to take about 5 strong guys to move this tank.

GAH. That would look great in my house.... in CHICAGO! Bah. But just for humors sake how much would a shipping company charge for sending it insured?

I am actually a seriously interested party. Maybe something like "Two guys and a truck" or even PODS?. Maybe moved more than shipped?

Zip code of 60140.

I am waiting for a quote from a shipping company. I tried UPS.com, maybe you can get a quote thru them? It asked for a freight class, and I dont know what class it is.

The tank is 7ft long, 2 feet wide, and almost 3 feet tall (my arm barely reaches the bottom when up to my armpit in water. The stand is heavy duty with 6 cabinet doors on it.

The possiblities are endless with a tank this big. A person could do a SW reef, or a freshie planted with plenty of room! I had thought about doing a tank like they have at Monterrey Bay Aquarium. They have a larger tank with 3 pilings in it, but with mirrors positioned in the back, it makes it look like your looking under a pier. I thought about using some PVC with a bit of concrete in the bottom (halved) and roughed up, dumped out in clean water off the keys or offshore here, GPS it, let it set for 6 mos - a year and bring it back and put in an aquarium. Thats what they did for the bays tank..... and it looks great. Course it would be minature.

I would love to do something with it, but I just dont think I have the time with traveling in the yacht.

My loss is someone who wants a projects gain...

Do have pictures? If not can you get some? Other questions:

Is it reef ready? (drilled, overflows, etc)

What are the dimensions of the sump?

What finish is the stand?

Any canopy?

LOL that's enough for now.

PM sent with my email address.

Tim,

Sorry its been a bit o time since I got back with you. I never got the shipping quote from the company I inquired with. After moving this tank and getting it home, I think for now I am going to try and hang on to it until I get tired of looking at it or set it up..... its such a behemoth, I think the cost of getting it to you outweighs what you could get locally....

Just didnt want you to think I blew ya off:)

I appreciate it. Things came up on my end so I can't really take the finances to handle the tank yet either (getting vortechs on my 90g). But keep me in mind if you choose to try to sell again. That's a pretty darn good deal.

Tim,

I pm u, but I don't think you got it. I've gotta move this tank asap, or rather sell it. I am able to store it, but I need cash.

$500 takes all. Letme know if it still interested.

Thanks,
Khara
