Not cycling... good or bad?

Thanks. Last I checked, my salinity was at 7.02 ish. Last night i noticed two little green spots growing on my rocks. My friend thought it might be zooanthid polyps, though I wonder if it is possible to have growth occuring early in this stage? I'll try to get pictures tonight when I get home from school.

Salinity should range somewhere between 1.020 - 1.025 depending if you have a FOWLR or reef tank.

It's not uncommon to find some polyps in the LR that's introduced to a new tank. If it was strong enough to go through the stress of the collecting stage, I wouldn't be surprised if it survived just fine during the cycling period.

Cool. I just bought another 5 lbs of live rock and reaquascaped. There were things crawling in and out of the rocks at the LFS... haha i dunno if that's a bad thing. I guess we'll have to see when those lil critters grow up and start wreaking havoc.

Actually, SALINITY should be around 30 to 32. SPECIFIC GRAVITY should be 1.022 to 1.025.
