New Tank

Hi there,
I'm about to start a nano and was wondering what you think would be the best tank for me to get.

-Picotope 3 by JBJ
-Redsea Aquavase
or a Eclipse 3 which is what I'm kind of leaning towards.

Any other suggestions would be great.

Thanks
greg

picotope 3 by jbj, just because jbj makes good stuff and eclipse systems usually arent adequit for saltwater.

:welcome to the board and I also agree that the JBJ is the best choice out of the three.

I'm also interested in starting a nano tank, but I'm not interested in coral at the moment. I was looking at the 3 gallon tank mentioned above, and I was wondering if LR and a couple damsels would survive in that small area...
I love advice and suggestions, I can't seem to find very many people around here who know what their doing, or anyone who will tell me the basics of what I need.

Thanks much,
Tomee

That tank could not support more than one small goby or something similar. I would hesitate to even house one damsel in that tank.

If you are looking to keep a FOWLR tank (fish-only with live rock) then I would suggest looking at something like a 20g high tank. You could use a simple HOB (hang on the back) power filter with some chemical medias like carbon and phosar and this would allow you to keep a few fish. Keep in mind that the damsels tend to be aggressive.

Also, I would suggest you start a new thread for yourself because you'll get more attention and responses that way.
