just picked up a new 10 gallon tank ( 14.99$) couldnt resist so going to use as a qt tank for next batch ofm lr. I know its small but should hold 25 lbs of rock during cycle time ( dont you think?) have one of our old whisper #5 puts out about 425 gph / tank came with a hood & 2 - 15 watt bulbs but going to replace w/ 2 blulight 25 watt ? or should I stay w/ the 15s white light just going to use to cure live rock for 24 gallon tank but now may instead wait to see new jbj28 may buy that looks realll good to me lol.......... after rock cured then will be dedicated qt tank :pills :stonight my upgrade filter though to tetratec 500 w/ built in heater ( havent really decided yet on that)

Sounds like a plan but you may want to skip lighting the tank all together while cycling the LR so you don't promote algal blooms while there are so many nutrients available during cycling.

I know better

I know not to use any light while cycleing but will also be using the tank as a qt tank when not cycling rock will leave some rock inside to use for qt area but should I upgrade the lights to dual 25 blulights for the qt
re; fish & inverts or would I need something stronger it now has dual 15 watt lights or would this even matter :maitre
