He is going to have a hang-on-tank version as well Erik.

The cool thing with this skimmer is it still allows you to completely close the lid on the nanocube and there is virtually no microbubbles.

i have been looking for a sump skimmer that is small enough and the price is right. i really dont any room to hang a skimmer off the back, unfortunitly i have all my electrical back there.

A skimmer for a nano is important if you have a high bioload of fish. Otherwise, water changes on the regular basis out perform any skimmer that you could placed on such a small volume of water.

the more I read about skimming, the less I believe in it. I no longer run a skimmer on my tank and instead am focusing on chemical media(s) along with a large amount of chaeto in a high light/high flow refugium. I also do biweekly 50% water changes.

We'll see how things go.

Erik, I found that this skimmer works in anywhere from 2"-11" of water. It has a constant water level inside due to it's multiple baffles... just FYI.

This may or may not sway you guys. This is the guy that makes these...

Skimmers will be available on Monday (Oct. 2). I am only releasing the NC12 and NC24 models right now. Biocube 29 model (BC29) and the Aquapod 24 (AP24) will be available within the next two weeks.

Here's an update for everyone:

I have two NC24 skimmers running in the sump of my lightly stocked 75 gallon FOWLR and this is the combined skimmate from 24 hours. I am going to try to post another video of the final design and the bubble/skimmate production tomorrow evening.

The Biocube skimmer will be a slightly different design thanks to the large middle chamber. This skimmer will feature a 3" collection cup and a larger body with the pump mounted to the side.

Thanks everyone,
Kyle

reminds me of a New York City Gutter Shot (a shot from the barmats, which is a collection of all the liqoirs, mixers and what not that get spilled on the mats after a long shift at hte bar). i have witnessed three different occasions when some gerks have come in after last call and makin a stink cause they cant any drinks, so they served them those shots......lol  they drank them and left...lol

its pretty mean but you dont want to piss off the person that serves you drinks. one thing is they never come in bitching after that.....
