As some of you know, I lost my clownfish Fred and my scooter blenny Scooter. :cryb:. While I am very sad about this I want to get some more fish. I will probably get another clownfish cause they are full of personality and well theyre just so damn cute. However I want to get another fish too. Any suggestions on colorful fish with good personality that swim around a lot and wont break the bank? I have a 12g Aquapod. Help me fill the void :poisson

You are first going to treat your tank right? Are you wanting suggestions for after you treat your aquapod not before?

Just being concerned for your fish safety and your pocket book; please tank my advice.

Thanks

MG

P.S
A royal gramma would look beautiful in your pod and are extremely hardy and will only cost you $15 bucks.

The bi-color blenny will move around a lot in your tank much more than other fish. Nothing is exact to the clown, but the bi-color blenny once he warms up, will be something to watch hours on end.

I have a blue spotted jawfish and he is awesome! He has the biggest personality of any fish.

Jawfish aren't supposed to swim around in the tank, but placed in an environment where they feel safe, they will... at least from my experience. My jawfish swims around in the current for hours on end.

He builds his home in the sand and it is hilarious watching him throw sand and rocks around.

The only problem is... he's expensive... Typically priced around $110... Got mine for $75, if you want the name of the guy I'm sure he'd ship one out to you.

If you have an ich problem I would highly suggest waiting 6-8 weeks before putting any fish in the tank. In that amount of time the the tank will go "foul" and the ich will have no host (fish) to stay alive. Then you can add fish.

Here is a good source of nano fish suggestions:

If you like small blue fish I would suggest a orange or flame tailed blue damsel. I have one in my 55 gal FOWLR and it has the most personality. However, in nano tanks i like the gobie and blenny species - the smaller the better.

I've got a 12gallon nano aswell and plan on putting in a clown, purple firetail goby and bicolour blenny...I like the firetails grumpy face and the way they swim round...

I have a black Ocellaris, and a neon Dottyback for my fish! The clown is more aggressive than the Dottyback, and I love both of them!
