New Aqua scaping in my 5.5gal

Some of the rock needs broken up a bit (more prefrence than anything) but will look nice once it starts to be filled in ?
What are the green things on the back tank wall ? :mrgreen:

The lines for the canister filter although thinking of adding a sump this weekend (still working on trying to figure out some plans for a cheap but effective over flow box)then I can get them out of there and then I wont have anything showing in the display. hopfully providing I can find a aqaurium safe black paint to use to paint the inside part of the overflow once I have it designed and built. This weekend I think I am going to get some candy cane and maybe some more mushroom frags and try your idea with the shot glass to get them to mount. hopfully I can get it to work (cause I love my snail and my hermitt crab but you can only stair at them cleaning for so long:)
