Thx DJ,

I am so glad to finally have power again, as I was starting to get worried about the situation.

Yesterday I took some pictures of the fish a few hours after the power came back.
I was amazed with their behavior! They seemed so happy, swimming all over the place and their appetite is back to normal again :)

Great pictures. Hopefully youll pull through ok. The last time I lost power, I used one of those AC/DC converters for the car and ran an extension cord. Of course you need to keep running your car to keep the juice flowing.

Thanks for the support guys.
Tell me about a Cinderella story man... I was getting sick of the daily water changes already.

Now I am slowly re-acclimating the corals to the light again. I reduced the light cycle to 5 hours p/ day using only 72W. I'm planning to increase the lighting in half hour increments every day until I can get back to the normal 8 hours p/ day with 144W as I usually do.

To add more momentum to the story, I do have to move on the 12th of the month and this hurricane definitely didn't help any by ADDING LOTS OF STREES to the inhabitants. I hope everything makes OK at the end. I am not moving far and I have plenty of buckets, coolers and portable air pumps to transport everything.

I was considering a new sand bed, but I am still debating on it.
Some people recommend that only a new sand should be used when a reef is moved or transferred from one tank to the next, and only a few cups of sand from the tank should be used for live-sand-seeding purposes. When the waste in the sand bed is released into the water all at once, it can cause a reef tank to crash.

Thx a lot for the compliments guys.
I use a Sony DSC-F707 digital camera and most of the time I prefer to use the manual focus mode, which gives me more control over the shots… (especially for close-up and macro shots) ... Adjusting the ISO manually also helps to properly capture the light levels with more accuracy.
