Don't overfeed!!!!! It's the doom of the tank when you overfeeed !!! I know because with about 20 fish, I was feeding a lot and I didn't realize that my nitrates soared really high to about 30 ppm.

It's been a long battle to bring them to 10 ppm, and I'd love to have just about 0 or 5 ppm.

we are now getting ours under control finally believe me it is no fun either ....Mike I would also like to get mine that low mine runs high too dont the log in front of me at the moment but I know mine are running I believe 20ppm all from over feeding :oops:

yeah dont worry mike im lowering my feedings we are talking about that with sady i keep pm her and we are working on schedules and what food so yes im gonna change my feeding metod.. anyways yes i know i like me nitrates between 0 and 5 too and they were like that until piggy clown was added and right know they are at 20 and hopefully soon they are gonna drop cause im gonna get them under controll with feeding and well is gonna help that im gonna feed zyclop ezze only one day instead of every day everyweek so i guess that is gonna help alot. :mrgreen:

the feeding schedule that I have given is what we use here
with the exception to the zooplex and the plankton......
if the days that I used dont work switch it to the days that you want but feed 4days and nothing on 3 days HTH


OK SADY SOUNDS GREAT THE ONly thing that im gonna change is saturday with sunday so ill feed zyclop eeze and wait an hour and the water change...

so ill not feed tuesday,thrusday and sunday... thx for the big big help sady :mrgreen: and also ill not add no more zooplex then...

forgot what is HTH sady and also i keep insisting with the plankton cause i was reading long time ago and my gobies feed on plankton like filter feeders just to have a backup of food for my green banded and red head goby :mrgreen: but ill do just 2 drops on monday like you said..

Hi again well sadye and everyone right know is my 4th day of not overfeeding my tank and getting in the new schedule just like we discuss sady and 2 of the 12 big nassarius found a better home.... so just 10big and 2 small know still looking to trade some big ones for small ones.....

i hope you take good care of them jesse :)

so for know not any amonia or nitrate spikes just as usual

AMONIA 0
NITRATE 20 (working on it...less feeding and no more cyclop everyday just once a week)
NITRITE 0
PH 8.1 - 8.3
GRAVITY .23
TEMPERATURE 79.3 - 80.2 (working on it to to be between 78-79 couple of days i been lowering it .2 everyday until desire temperature)
