Nano Reef Tank - HELP!

I am thinking of getting my Fiance a tank for chistmas, but unfortunatly i know nothing about them!
Now he loves tanks and knows lots about them, so am worried about getting the wrong one?
Anybody got any tips as to what i should look for when getting a tank?
Or what tanks are good?

I am looking at thease tanks:

Orca TL450
DD 24 gallon nano cube
Orca MT30

Any other suggestions? or things to stay clear of?
