Not to be mean, but mandarins aren't suitable for nanos. Unless you've gotten lucky and gotten the 1/1000 that'll take prepared food they'll slowly starve to death in that size tank.

how much was it? I visited last week and got a bunch of frags, but left some there for you to buy edgray, hehe. I didn't see or I guess I haven't been to careful to spot them. They may have been there all the time, but I may have passed it by, lol.

But on another note, can anybody answer my questions on the "care & needs" for the gargonia.

I don't know where you posted the question.

The answer is that they're filter feeders, so phyto of some sort is probably necessary, moderate to high flow. Unfortunately they have horrible survival rates in aquariums.

my question was in this thread actually, not one of my own, sorry. Just wanted a quick answer. Didn't want to make a impulsive buy and see it die, you know?

Edgray, good luck with it, let me know if you can get it to live. If they have "horrible" survival rate in aquariums, I'll be passing. Thanks.

yeah was ok last time i check just the lower that could be so thats why they told me that i needed to add calcium so thats why im putting it but ill keep that in mind thx again sadielynn ... i always text everythin on saturdays i do my self the nitrate, nitrite,ph,alkalinity and salt gravity and my lfs the test the amonia , phosphate and calcium....

ill post them on saturday...

but anyways do you think i should add calcium only when i do water changes or just when test tells me that is low

Steven, I got mine at tongs. they get them in every few weeks. If you want one, i can pick it up for you if i see one. They are usually $10 because they sell them as frags.

Ive had mine for over a year. It has been through alot and has survived with flying colors. It might be the species that they sell, maybe it is a hardy species.

Sadielynn, i dont know where you are located, but i can pick one up for you too if i see that they have them again. the store is in huntington beach, ca.
