Wow! A new forum for us larger nanos! This is great!

Here's my 30 gallon Oceanic cube. This was started in January of this year and in March I combined the contents of two of my smaller nano's into this one. I'm running a PFO 250 watt mini pendant with 15K bulb. Aqua C remora skimmer, millenium 2000 HOB with just the carbon filter insert, 2 maxi-jet 600's and a microjet.

I'll post up some images of the entire set up, stand, canopy, side shots, etc, later.

You apparently cannot link to reef central SM. It just brought up one of their banners.

Wow! Looks great SM! I think RC has got some tricky attachment software where you can't link outside of their site or something. Anyways, this one worked.

How long has this tank been up? Looks pretty mature and has grown out nicely. The montipora looks great. Love the rics too.

After seeing the 2.5 SM...there were no suprises here! LOL Should have seen this one comming a mile away!

Great tank SM, its definitely a show piece for sure. No so sure how one could possibly top that baby. Love the Rics too!

Beautiful job SM. I love the shape of the 30 cubes. I almost broke down and bought one when a LFS had several for $75ea or 3 for $180. They got a whole shipment in where the silicone job was terrible. (At least for oceanic). You'd need to scrape off the excess silicone, but otherwise they were in excellent shape. If I had room for another tank in my house I'd have one. :D

Thanks guys! I really love the cube look too, couldn't pass it up when my husband insisted we get a bigger tank. ;)

dj, I set the tank up in early January and cycled it for 2 months before adding the contents of my two nanos that had been running for a year. It's a constant work in progress.

seems coralforum is down so the red x is back. I just signed on with photobucket so I'll use that to post any future pics.

Looks great for under a year old! Tons of coralline growth. What Ca additive are you using?

Also, how many clams you have in there? I see 2 I think.

I was using b-ionic but have since switched over to kalk and vinegar in my top off water. I also add magnesium twice a week as the kalk tends to drive the mg levels down a bit.

clams...ugh. my baby squammy died for no apparent reason about three weeks ago. it seemed fine and was growing nicely, then all of the sudden within a week or so it just went downhill fast. the crocea has it's own issues as well. a few months ago it took it's third dive into the LTA I had in there and is still trying to recover.

cool man

What's that big brown coral thing in the middle? Can't tell. Just looks big, and healthy. Frogspawn maybe?

Yup, it's a FS, but I ended up having to get rid of it. I had fragged it in half and sold that part, but the other part (three heads) was growing like crazy and was waging warfare on all the nearby corals. Traded it in for some more LR. :D
