Very nice setup my friend.
Welcome to the board and to the world of reef keeping.
This is a hobby where patience is a virtue, but it can be very rewarding if planed carefully, choosing the right inhabitants for your setup and giving time for the tank to properly mature. Keep up the good work. I love your aquascaping. :thumbup:

Also thank you for your patience and for your help to setup my tank.
I`m very excited about it and i know that it needs more patience, this is not like
fresh water tank, i know that.
But i`m taking care about it and looking close for all the levels.
I have already 4 snails, their looking good, let see if i got luck.

I really got some help from Aromano to set up my tank, he knows a lot.
My LR are almost cure, i dont think i have to wait to long to make the cycle.
I already have some snails and 2 damzel, they look good.
The only thing is the water temperature, is around 81.5F during the night and 83.5F to 84F during the day.
I`m keeping the lights on for about 8 hours and the moon lights at night.
The tank is located in a small room in my house that use to be very warm during the day, i`ll try tomorrow to keep all the windows open to see if i can lower that.

The damsel is a very hardy fish will probably go through the cycling process just fine, but they can get aggressive towards other tank mates, so you might have to remove them before introducing more peaceful inhabitants.
As far as the temperature is concern, stability is really the key; so trying to keep fluctuations between 2 to 3 degrees is ideal. 84 degrees is definitely too high and it's probably related to the room temperature in the house. Usually having the AC set at 75 will keep your temps between 78 and 80 with a standard NC12DX.

You know, i`m not happy with the tank in that room, i`m gonna have to move it.
Is a small room and its very hot, even if i keep the a/c at 75F, the temperature doesn`t go down. I saw today in the afternoon with the ligths off it was 84.7F, that`t too hot. Right now(1am) is about 81F.
Well i`m gonna wait until the cycling to finish and then move to a bigger room to see what happen. Anyway i have to remove those damsels to put the clowns and i think i`ll have to move the rocks cause they are fast men!!!
The good thing is the ammonia is about 0.10 and Nitrites 0, getting low.

where do you shop in miami?? im in miami too and i only know of two decent shops, one is majorly overpriced, but they seem to know their stuff.. and the other is basically corals only right now.. he has some fish but thats not why i go... his corals are decently priced i suppose and the owner is really nice, i can usually talk 10 bucks off a price..
Hi r00onmac, well like you i`m newbie, i bought my tank in a store in Boca Raton. I went there with a friend who lives there.
In Miami i know the Exotic Aquarium at Bird Road an 73, they have good stuff there but is a little expansive.
Also i never been ther but i heard about a store on US1 and 143 with the name Atlantis.
My tank is only a week old and is doing very good.

yea exotic is the one with the mad high prices... across the street in the plaza with IHOP is a place called reef aquarium... that guy is really nice.. i suggest you buy your corals from him cuz he will cut you a deal if you buy more than one or just talk him down a little...
