hi guys
Some updated pics

Clam corner - both are fairly large - above 3 inches

2 orange Slow growing acans from Adam

this greeny example is doing well since its been in tank for 3 months

SPS was stuck on raw plugs and put into gaps in rocks - and have now encrusted and tips are starting to grow..

Can you guess what colour it was - Green Acro - knackered now as the bloody yellow goby has nipped it to death and u can see its on way out .... its also constantly sitting on my euluphilia which is also dieing and receding where its sat
dont get yellow gobies - got a pair and this surviving one killed the smaller one off..

Not sure whats up with the cleaner - it follows me around the tank now adays

Looks great,

what do you use for Calcium suplementation.

Also, how long have you had that Goni? Mine is receding at a textbook rate

Do you feed it regularly and if so what with and how much?

hi there

no ca supplements for me - weekly 12% water changes with d&d salt is all i do.
The goni in question is from a another tank thats closing down soon.
Ive had that sucker 3 years now - and its getting better now as in the other tank it was squashed in a corner ...

I had a flowerpot red goni that was the same age and been sold on to a friend recently - still doing well..
I dont feed the goni's - shock horror ...

Ha,

thanks.

Do you measure calcium content?

I have been keeping mine at about 430 to promote coralline growth but would I be correct in assuming yours is sitting a bit below that and your corals are still growing.

no dude i never did

I tend to find that weekly water changes clean the scum cause i spend a few mins before i drain the old water with a jug clearing the scum..
a weekly water change [lazy doesnt always happen with me catches it before the scum anyways ]

The ato is still my right arm - as i have a container of RO water with a tap on it that i just fill up everytime i notice the level particulaly lower...

so all manual but all organic so works ok really..

To be honest Groovy,

Ive never worried about coralline at all - in fact i dont want too much of it as i prefer more porous rocks to those covered in coralline...
Hence ive used reefplate - porous rock in the canister and for a large part of rock near the front base in the tank...

Coralline is over-rated for me however if you really want to get it grow
back when i started with first tank absoulutely swore by Purple Up - coralline supplement - that stuff will make the algae grow up the glass quick believe me ...
