Also wanted to explain why its stealth

There are no part or extras on show in the tank
if you looked around all the sides you wouldnt see any equipment - the HOB there is temporarily
The main flow is coming out of exit hole hidden in the cave formed by the white reef plate rock you so in the main of picture.
Stealth also because the important parts of filtration are all hidden under the tank in cabinet that hides all the pipework.

Also have managed to get a floating look to bottom of tank so there is a 5 mm gap between slate rock top of cabinet and glass bottom - of which you can in some pics ive got leds mounted to make a glow from under the tank

nice tank and awesome corals
question - your stealth plumbing work (very cool BTW) doesn't seem to skim the surface - are you getting a surface film?

thanks guys
i use top of by hand at moment its not too bad as i have the MH quite high but even so about a litre jugful every 3 days is not too bad or less on cooler days...

I am indeed getting surface skum- so have a plan
either replace the cave affect with some tubing with branches
with one the branches pointing directly at the surface.

or get eheim pump to sit between pipework back to tank so get flow of 1250 lph
leave the cave untouched and let the extra flow break the surface
at the moment i get surface agitation but not enough to break it...

current plans are for the eheim pump as I could do with the extra flow

i find the flow goes straight up and then cascades down ...
it means things are quite calm at bottom of tank which i like....
but with extra pump would get a better cascade affect

waiting on some funds before i go ahead and get the pump...

ato - is by my right hand :gcool
hehe
lose about a 1inch in about 2-3 days and bit more during the warmer days when i had the fan blowing on water surface.

Going to be looking at a very simple bottle type affair to ATO.

As for surface scum - still getting a bit - but noticed when fan was blowing across the water surface it got rid of most of it...

That is one cool tank :cool1:

Where are your moon lights?
So having the water pushed out via the centre of the mound is enough flow?

I love the Acans. It is very hard to get them here in NZ (funny really as we are so much closer to these corals than you are  )

Happens so many places doesnt it - local availibilty is rubbish cause its all exported !

Moon lights are from ebayer in Hong Kong
I can give pass on details if you like
I like the moonlights as they are very strong and quite sturdy - theyve dipped into water countless times and being sealed havent had any problems so far..

The flow from the centre is just about right - could do with being with a bit more - but i choose so far not to add an extra pump to boost flow as it seems to be working ok so far ... the eheim was rated at 950lph
